Meals On Wheels

Unfortunately Aiken Senior Life Services are having to pause Meals on Wheels deliveries due to government funding.

Meals on Wheels delivers food and wellness checks for Aiken seniors. Since 1971, 300 meals a day. It’s important to many of you that you understand the impact of this pause. Many of seniors will suffer.

The volunteers over at Aiken Senior Life Services work tiredly to make sure everyone in their care is provided for and kept safe. Many of the volunteers say that the seniors are filled with joy when they come by to deliver. Its a sense of connection, and sometimes all the connection these seniors get all day.

I am asking you to please help, if you can, to close the cap of $150,000.

According to the Aiken Senior Life Services,

• $50.00 provides meals for one week

• $100.00 provides meals for two weeks

• $200.00 supports a senior for the entire six-week pause

Anything helps. Anything makes a difference.
